The Story

Yager Electric is the type of electrical contractor that you want working on your projects. Matt Yager, the company’s owner, founded the business in 2005 with a commitment to honesty, knowledge and duty to the customer. Matt is not afraid to step out of industry standards, so he jumped at the chance of introducing technology to manage the daily grind of procurement. They needed something to digitize their invoices, POs and material tracking. At first, Yager Electric tried on Structshare for size, but the procurement software went unused and something was just not clicking. Jon Eldridge was hired on as the purchasing manager and was tasked at figuring out the puzzle. After months of digging into Structshare’s features and trying to partner with customer success, Jon determined that based on their limitations, it was simply not a good fit. They needed to find a technology solution that gave them consistent results by connecting purchasing to their warehouse and field teams. Jon did his research and in speaking with a fellow contractor, he learned about Kojo.

The Solution

Jon knew that Kojo was the solution that Yager Electric was looking for, especially as larger projects were on their horizon and the team was growing. With the help of Kojo’s customer success team, their Field team was up and running in Kojo quickly. Jon immediately noticed a reduction in those back and forth calls and texts because the Field team could easily order and track materials on the mobile app. For Jon, Kojo allowed him to fully leverage the warehouse with bulk buyouts and ordering materials straight from the warehouse inventory. Kojo is then used to return unused materials from the job site back to the warehouse, saving money and streamlining a typically chaotic task. He also regularly uses Kojo’s automated quote scanning feature, which eliminates annoying manual data entry. They are now rolling out Tool Tracking to create a digital chain of ownership and get proactive with tool maintenance. The Yager team is on their way to covering their entire material management workflow with Kojo.
